The traditional production method of cava is the same as that of French champagne, adapted to the native grapes of Penedès.
The 2013 edition of the Peñín Guide awarded the 2007 cava Blancher Obrac a score of 87/100.
COLOUR: Clean, bright, straw yellow with golden reflections. Small bubbles that finish in a well ordered crown.
NOSE: Balanced aroma, intense and delicate; somewhat fruity with citrus and floral touches. The maturing process produces nuts, butter and certain herbal and spice sensations.
MOUTH: Fresh, carbonic with a touch of white fruit. The maturing process adds nuts. Harmonic acidity with a final touch of bitterness.
Accompany with: Ideal as an aperitif or with sea food and white meat.
STORAGE AND CONSUMPTION:
Keep in a cool place - 6 to 8ºC.
Once opened it is best consumed on the same day or it should be resealed with vacuum stopper and stored in the fridge.
